InfoCentricity
PayNet and InfoCentricity have partnered to develop industry specific credit scores for the commercial lending industry. This partnership’s first joint product is the Transportation Score which revolutionized both Class 8 and medium-duty truck and trailer lending. Developed jointly by InfoCentricity and PayNet and using the largest data pool of transportation loans and leases ever complied, this new score is not only empirically derived and statistically sound, but also a true credit professional’s score, looking at the factors and issues that experienced lenders know drive performance in the real world. This score incorporates other attributes beyond traditional delinquency data. For example, the score distinguishes between owner-operators and fleets and it makes a distinction between private fleets and for-hire fleets. Even further, just for example, the score knows that public utilities are less of a risk than food wholesalers, and that these, in turn, are less of a risk than debris haulers. The score also takes into account what type of equipment the applicant uses and in what proportion, as medium-duty and Class 8 operations have very different risk profiles. In addition the score considers applicant time in business and business size, as well as trends, both in originations (looking for rapid expansion) and in delinquency, considering delinquency now, delinquency recently, and delinquency ever.
